Curl Creek Blackjack Oak

DOB: April 22, 2019

Sire: Castle Rock Black Oak*S

Dam: Curl Creek Confetti*M

We had our eye on Blackjack from the time he was a weanling and I was beyond excited to find out he was looking for a new home. With some impressive bodies and milk on both sides, we have really high hopes he will help refine his daughters and pass on some of that milkability.

His dam Confetti has sharp, dairy style and impressive mammary. She scored VG 89 as a 3 year old which is the highest score a second freshener can receive. She placed first in the 3/4 year old class at the 2019 CGS West Nationals and was the CGS National Champion. Confetti milked 4.8 lbs on her second freshening one day milk test, earning her a milk star.

His maternal granddam is Thistle Creek Sambuca Splash *M. She milked 3.7 lbs on her one day milk test even though she lost part of her milk on one side to mastitis.

Blackjacks sire Castle Rock Black Oak *S has proven to pass very correct mammaries to his daughters as well as milkability. He has great brisket extension, long level topline and angular dairy features. Black Oak's dam, Castle Rock Sarafina is a finished Grand Champion and LA'd EEEE 92. As a second freshener, Sarafina milked 6.8 lbs on a one day milk test. His sires dam, Castle Rock Penny wise produced 8.2 lbs as a 3 year old on her one day milk test. She has also earned both her Superior Genetics and Permanent Grand Champion status.

Blackjacks littermate sister Curl Creek Ricochet *M milked 3.23 lbs as a first freshener and earned her milk star in the spring of 2020. She has that refined Dairy body that we hope to see Blackjack pass down.
